Lucky Urimi

By Shams Tabriz Habib

Urimi descended from the heavens in a gentle spiral.

She had been soaring on high for what felt like ages, her wings spread wide, tip-feathers reaching outward extending her span. Breaking through the clouds, a beautiful island beckoned earnestly amidst a sea of others. This island sparkled brilliantly in the bluest of waters.

As she landed atop the tallest palm, its dates plump and sweet, the island shuddered. Urimi brought with her the magnificence of her heavenly breadth.

And as she plucked a ripened date, Urimi herself shuddered. The delight and wonder of the island’s bounty enthralled her.

What an extraordinary thing those two do share - breadth and bounty, heaven and earth.

Lucky Urimi.
Lucky Island.
